Chambers USA 2017 Ranks Four Eastburn and Gray Land Use and Zoning Attorneys

Doylestown and Blue Bell, PA – Eastburn and Gray announced today that Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business, an annual guide identifying top attorneys and law firms in the U.S., ranked 4 Eastburn and Gray attorneys in its 2017 edition. Marc D. Jonas, John A. VanLuvanee, Julie L. Von Spreckelsen and Michael E. Peters have been recognized by Chambers USA 2017 in the field of Real Estate: Zoning/Land Use.

For the fourth consecutive year, Mr. Jonas and Mr. VanLuvanee have been included in Chambers rankings. Both also serve as co-chairs of the firm’s real estate, land use and zoning practice group. For the second consecutive year, Ms. Von Spreckelsen has been named a Noted Practitioner and Mr. Peters has been named an Associate to Watch in the 2017 Directory.

Mr. Jonas has distinguished experience in real estate, land use, municipal law, representing individuals, businesses, institutions, non-profit organizations and municipal boards. He has appeared as counsel in Pennsylvania state and federal courts in land use and real estate matters and has testified as an expert witness in the Courts of Common Pleas of Delaware, Chester, and Montgomery Counties.  Mr. Jonas is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Pennsylvania Law School.  He previously served as Chairman of the Montgomery County Planning Commission.

Mr. VanLuvanee handles zoning, subdivision and land development matters, as well as real estate transactional matters, for both developers and property owners. His clients include national builders and developers, as well as many regional and local builders and developers. For more than 30 years, he has served as counsel to the Home Builders Association of Bucks/Montgomery Counties. During his career, Mr. VanLuvanee has been involved in many significant, precedent-setting land use cases decided by the Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court and the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. He is a graduate of Kalamazoo College and the University of Michigan Law School.

Ms. Von Spreckelsen has been representing commercial and residential real estate developers, businesses, individuals, and distinguished institutional clients in real estate law, including zoning, subdivision, land development and municipal-related matters for more than 15 years. She frequently represents clients in front of municipal bodies and state courts throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Ms. Von Spreckelsen is a graduate of the University of Delaware and Dickinson School of Law.

Mr. Peters represents commercial and residential clients before zoning hearing boards and municipal governing bodies in land development and zoning matters. Mr. Peters has appeared in courts of common pleas throughout the Commonwealth and Commonwealth Court in land use and municipal law litigation and appeals. He is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University and The George Washington University Law School.
