Darwin IP Advisors’ Managing Director, David Shoneman, is pleased to announce the completion of six (6) transactions (licenses and sales) of the thin, flexible, solar assets of Beamreach Solar in 2018. The Beamreach Solar technology has applications in the solar, semiconductor and bio-pharma industries. These transactions include the sale (of a limited number) of assets and license to a large solar manufacturer (flexible solar roof products) and an automotive company. Additional transactions to provide technological runway for startups and small-medium sized enterprises (SME) focused on (i) commercializing differentiated products in the renewable energy sector, (ii) on-dose authentication, silica-based precision targeting and secured label applications in the bio-pharma sector and (iii) an innovative and significantly less labor-intensive solar panel racking system for flat commercial roof applications.
