Drivers License Expiration Dates Extended Until May 31

While Governor Wolf closed all Pennsylvania Drivers License Centers under his initial emergency order, the extension of the order until April 30 has impacted many Pennsylvanians who have drivers licenses (individual and commercial licenses) that have expired since the Centers closed on March 16 or will expire before April 30.

All license holders can renew their licenses through the online services system operated by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.  For those individuals who do not have access to a computer or reliable internet service to renew a license, the Department has extended the expiration date for all drivers licenses, photo ID cards, and learner’s permits that were scheduled to expire from March 16 through April 30 until May 31.
