Drug and Alcohol Issues in Civil Litigation

(Philadelphia) Williams Family Law founder and managing partner Jeffrey M. Williams was a speaker for a seminar entitled “Drug and Alcohol Issues in Civil Litigation,” hosted by the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, the educational arm of the Pennsylvania Bar Association. The program was presented live on May 18 at the CLE Conference Center in the Wanamaker Building in Philadelphia and simulcast to 26 locations throughout the state.

With so many media stories these days focusing on the nation’s opioid epidemic, this program took a deeper look at the ever-expanding list of costs that affect public health, law enforcement, public employment, and local government budgets as a result. Williams’ portion of the presentation focused on the impact of drugs and alcohol in family court.

Williams, who is currently president of the American Association of Matrimonial Lawyers’ Pennsylvania Chapter, is a leading family and divorce law attorney in Pennsylvania. He has been named to ‘Best Lawyers in America’ for eleven straight years, he is a diplomate of the American College of Family Trial Lawyers (whose membership is limited to 100 attorneys nationwide) and has been selected as one of the “Ten Leaders of Greater Philadelphia for Matrimonial & Divorce Law” since 2004.
