The Honorable Rochelle S. Friedman will be receiving the Jewish Law Day Award in Philadelphia!

The Louis D. Brandeis Law Society, the Jewish Law Day Committee, VAAD: The Board of Rabbis of Greater Philadelphia, and The Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia take pleasure in inviting you to attend the 35th Annual Jewish Law Day on Thursday, April 6, 2017, at 5:00 P.M. The program will take place at The Jewish Community Services Building at 2100 Arch Street.

This year, our guest speaker will be Professor Eugene Kontorovich, a noted scholar and professor of law at Northwestern University School of Law. Professor Kontorovich will speak on Examining Modern Questions of Israel, Campus Free Speech, and Boycott Movements through the Lens of Jewish Values. The Hon. Abraham Gafni (ret.) will lead the discussion through an interview with Professor Kontorovich.

The Judge Norma Shapiro Jewish Law Day Award will be presented to Hon. Rochelle S. Friedman, Judge of the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania.

The program is approved for 1 hour of PA CLE Credit. Complimentary Valet Parking is included, as is a complimentary reception, under dietary supervision. The reception will follow the program.

All are welcome to attend without charge. Funding for Jewish Law Day is provided entirely through voluntary contributions. Advance registration is necessary.
